Right, that’s it for­ever for Right, That’s It For­ever, for­ever rest­ing, as it now does, in (a tiny niche of) the pub­lic domain. You can buy it at Net­tlewine, if you’re lucky enough to get in before it sells out.

We played an hour-long launch gig at Wellingborough’s excel­lent Cas­tle venue, and hap­pily sold out the hundred-ish tick­ets. Sara Spade kindly sup­ported us, and I think she was really sur­prised by the über quiet audi­ence – you could lit­er­ally have heard a pin drop between her songs.

I can’t remem­ber so much about the gig, except for the fact that we got a proper back­stage dress­ing room, and Jon man­aged to, um, wow the crowd with some break-dancing, in a bid to sledge­ham­mer the crowd into dancing.

We also indulged our­selves in a mid-set acoustic sec­tion, and I came for­ward to har­monise over a cou­ple of Ian’s Sunface-era songs, and the band-schisming ‘Fix a Bro­ken Heart’. This all went down par­tic­u­larly well.

True to form we totally screwed up ‘Mis­take of Old Time’s Sake’. We have never played it well since record­ing it, but I sup­pose that’s okay.

Feel-good fac­tor was in full flow, and many albums and t-shirts were sold on the night to loyal and sup­port­ive friends and fam­ily. The fact is, get­ting up there and doing it, who­ever cares, is what it’s all been about.
